My Bio

I grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas. My mom always tells people that I was dancing the moment I entered the world. I have spent every year of my life creating stories, whether that be with my older brother in our living room or in England on a study abroad trip.  I will graduate from Oklahoma City University in the spring of 2021 with my BFA in Acting and a minor in Religious Education. Next up, I am headed back to Arkansas to work as a teaching artist at Trike Theater.

I make theater because I believe it is the best way to reflect society. There are so many concepts in life that I find hard to understand. Why are there “bad characters” in my personal life? Why are people the way that they are? Why should I care about others?   I learn about other people’s perspectives and point of views by experiencing their story in an immersive way. This includes theater, literature, film, music, visual art, and more. Anytime that I get the chance to tell someone else’s story and potentially help expand the heart of my audience is a true honor and treat. I never want to stop working to make the world a more empathetic and connected place to live. Some heal the world through medicine, others through serving in the military, some by making food to connect us in community around a dinner table. I have been called to tell stories.

Being a theater artist is vital because we breed and prepare fertile soil for community and connection. It is our purpose. It is my purpose.
